Defensive Driving Scholarship - Deadline June 1, 2019

Eligibility

  • Open to high school seniors or college students who are legal residents of the United States
  • Scholarship payable to the winner who should be living in the United States
  • Student must enroll in semester beginning no later than Winter 2019
  • Winner is not based on financial need
  • Home-schooled students may apply so long as your course of study is equivalent to a high school senior
  • Applicants must complete the required form in order to be eligible.

 

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship - Deadline June 1, 2018

Award Amount: $1,000

Eligibility Requirements: Former high school athletes who are enrolled as a full-time student at a two or four-year college.

Horatio Alger Association Career and Technical Scholarship Program - Deadline June 15, 2019

Horatio Alger Association was established in 1947 and began awarding scholarships in 1984.  Since the first scholarship award the Association has awarded over $125 million in need-based aid to students who hope to pursue their American Dream.

Receive up to $2,500 to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree

  • Have completed high school or plan to complete high school by Spring 2019 with plans to enroll at a community college for the first time by fall 2019
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit community college in the United States (eligible schools must be affiliated with AACC – a list can be found here – http://www.aacc.nche.edu/pages/ccfinder.aspx)
  • Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
  • Be younger than 30 years old
  • Be a United States citizen

Single Parent Scholarship Fund  - Deadline: June 15, 2019

This is a supplemental scholarship for a degree seeking (college or technical school) single parent. The money may be used for school expenses, childcare, car expenses, groceries, utilities, doctor and dental bills or rent. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Proof of enrollment - Class schedule for upcoming term or registrar verification. If a class schedule is not available at the time of your application, you may submit verification from the registrar with your application. However, a class schedule must still be provided before your scholarship is awarded.
  • Proof of income - Tax return (first page of most recent year). If you are exempt from filing a tax return, submit a Proof of Income statement from the Department of Human Services. Other income verification may be considered if these documents do not apply to your situation.
  • Pell Grant (FAFSA) – copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR), or letter from your school’s Financial Aid Office that states your approval or denial for financial aid during the term for which this scholarship is to be used. If you did not apply for FAFSA, provide an explanation.
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools you have attended - including your most recent term. If you have no college experience, provide your high school transcript or GED certificate. You may upload unofficial transcripts to allow us to review your application. However, official transcripts must be provided before your scholarship is awarded. Official transcripts are sent directly from the Registrar's office or their designee by mail or eScript, or may be delivered in a sealed envelope to the contact listed above.
  • Proof of marital status - Provide one of the following: divorce decree, legal separation order, spouse’s death certificate, or a statement that you have never been married.

2017 Miss High School American Pageant - Deadline  August 1, 2018

The Miss High School, Junior High School and Collegiate America Pageant competition exists for the purpose of providing personal and professional opportunities for young women. It is our goal to provide outstanding high school, junior high and collegiate girls the opportunity to compete in a pageant system that has the highest of moral values.  Winner is awarded a $40000 scholarship.  

 

UCA Textbook Scholarship - Deadline June 30

Students attending UCA, CBC or UACCM in Fall 2019 have a chance to win a Textbook Scholarship for Fall 2019. There will be 2 winners at UCA and UACCM then one winner for CBC.

 

The Beauty + Wellness Scholarship for Women - Deadline June 30, 2018

Here is a brief summary of the eligibility requirements:

    • Quarterly Deadlines: January 1, March 31st, June 30th, and September 30th every year
